Join COS for an afternoon walk as we decompress from a long day at work and look for birds at Park 566. We'll make our way at a leisurely pace down the trails and adjacent areas in search of any breeding grassland birds hanging around. Beginning birders welcome and loaner binoculars will be available.

Accessibility:
Total trip distance is approximately 1 mile and will take place mostly on asphalt (somewhat degraded) trails that are relatively level with no elevation changes. Any recent rain may create muddy conditions. Restrooms are unavailable.
Weather/Attire/Other:
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please bring bottled water. Dress for the weather. Based on the forecast, you may want to bring a hat and sunscreen and a light jacket. Ticks can be expected here. Long pants and insect repellent are recommended. Loaner binoculars will be available.
The exact meeting location will be emailed in advance to registrants. Free street parking is available. The location is accessible by bus routes 6 and 79.
